EMESE MÓRICZ and ANDREA TAKÁTS
unique self-awareness, healing and recovery programme
7 November 2024 18:00
It's happened to all of us, hasn't it, when reading a novel, watching a play or watching a film, you've felt: "That's it! "I've been there"; "I've been there"; "It's like it's about me"? Of course it did. And it will happen again. But this time, we can discuss what "really hit home" and what to do about what deeply affects us.
Components: music, literature, discussion
The texts are performed by Andrea Takáts, actress
The discussion will be moderated by Emese Móricz, Leadership Development Specialist
The creators of the programme:
Emese Móricz is a Leadership Development Specialist, internationally accredited Life Designer Coach and meditation instructor.
She has been working for years on women and women leaders in Hungary and in several European countries. Decades of experience have made it clear to her that the development of women cannot stop at re-framing behavioural patterns. We must be able to reconnect with our inner wisdom and resources, which most of us have lost due to the challenges of modern times. We can draw this knowledge out again through the methods he teaches.
Andrea Takáts is an actress and, among her other acting work, a performer at the Retikül Women's Literary Salon, where she presents dramatised adaptations of novels written by women and about women's fates. It is important to her to use the power of art to promote the recognition of the possibility of change and to share works that speak of the emergence of women's destinies and their breakthrough from oppression.
"The Hair by Our Own Hands programme brings together both of our professional experiences in a mutually supportive way.
Andrea reads various passages of fiction with musical accompaniment. After the performance, we will talk about the feelings and thoughts that the story evoked in us and how we relate to it. Emese then talks about the psychological patterns behind behaviour and how we can turn them into our strengths without denying our family or our past.
We believe that healing and change require understanding, emotional connection and the hope that it is worth doing. Performance is a healing process, where the audience is involved as much as they are open to it, and of course there is no lack of humour."
