Get a glimpse of the story of Sándor Márai and his wife Lola, two independent and passionate people, in a reading theatre evening. The performance is based on a special selection of diary entries by Andrea Takáts. This extraordinary read-aloud theatre evening tells the story of 31 years of emigration, showing the ups and downs, joys and challenges of their relationship. The performance will be in Hungarian, providing an authentic experience closely tied to the original diary entries.
The programme
The stage production will be performed by Andrea Takáts, actress and dramaturg, winner of the Pro Arte Erzsébetváros Award for Hungarian Jewish Culture, and Géza D. Hegedűs, Merited Artist, Kossuth and Jászai Mari Prize-winning actor.
