PILATES
Pilates primarily focuses on strengthening the core-supporting muscles using low-impact movements and specialized breathing exercises. It can perfect posture, increase energy levels, range of motion, and flexibility, and improve physical and mental health. Pilates is an effective tool for managing back and lower back pain as well as reducing stress. Due to the gentle nature of the exercises, it is a recommended form of exercise for everyone from beginners to elite athletes, with which noticeable results can be achieved in a short time. You can find out more about the various types of Pilates available at Villa11 below.
Our individual and group Pilates classes are exclusively available to club members.
-
MAT
Pilates Mat, or Pilates Matwork, is ideal primarily for beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of pilates – such as exercises that build core strength, balance, and flexibility.
-
REFORMER
In this class, guests use a special device known as a reformer, which features a horizontally moving platform with springs, pulleys, and straps to provide the appropriate resistance for performing exercises.
-
TOWER
The Tower or Half Cadillac is a simplified tower or frame that can be used with the Pilates Reformer machine. It offers a more varied selection of exercises than the Mat or Reformer and provides numerous benefits.
-
JUMPBOARD
The Jumpboard is one of the most popular accessories for Reformer Pilates: a solid, stable, padded surface that can be attached to it, providing movement in a spine-friendly way thanks to the resistance of the springs.
-
SPINAL CORRECTION DEVICE
This specialized device assists in stretching and strengthening the torso, shoulders, legs, and back. Exercises performed with this device can alleviate back pain, strengthen the muscles around the spine and the torso, increase flexibility and mobility, and improve posture.
